Snowmobile and trailer stolen, others driven illegally in Vanderhoof

Vanderhoof Crimestoppers along with local RCMP are requesting the public’s assistance in obtaining any information pertaining to a theft that occurred on Somerset Drive South in Vanderhoof. Between Febrary 3-17 suspects stole a snowmobile and utility trailer from a residence. The trailer is described as a 12 ft long u-built and is a drive on- drive off trailer.

Last week there were a number of complaints to police about snow mobiles being driven in Riverside Park and along streets in Vanderhoof.  Police remind snowmobile or all terrain vehicle owners they may not drive them on streets, parking lots or public access areas. The vehicle will be seized and the minimum fine will be driving with no insurance. A vehicle involved in an accident, even if it is deemed not to be their fault will bear the costs of all damage and liability.
